Features

As the chatbot uses Facebook Messenger as its platform, you need to select ‘get started’ to activate the chatbot. The chatbot will introduce itself and give you information about its capabilities.

You can use the chatbot to record your health, allowing it to keep track of your health index. For starters, you can enter your cholesterol, blood sugar, heartbeat rate and blood pressure on the chatbot. If you select any one of these options, the chatbot will ask you to enter a number related to them. For example, if your cholesterol level is 180 mg/dL, you can enter it on the chatbot.

Once you finish this task, the chatbot will always ask you if you want to enter other details such as heartbeat rate, blood sugar, and blood pressure. As the chatbot keeps track of all these elements, you can use it to review your health.

If you are a person who forgets to have your pills or medical checkups on a regular basis, you can use the chatbot to remind you when to take them. For example, if you want the chatbot to remind of any health checkup, you need to provide more information such as date, time, and venue. Once the chatbot has these details, it will ask you how often you want the reminder. You can choose from daily, weekly and monthly on this chatbot. If you select daily, the chatbot will send you a message on Facebook Messenger at 9 a.m every day. If you have to take pills on a regular basis, then you can ask the chatbot to remind you at a specific time such as 8 a.m, 1 p.m and 6 p.m. If you have a sequence of instructions to take pills, you can enter that information on this chatbot.

You can also use the chatbot to calculate your body mass index(BMI). All you need to do is enter your weight in kilograms and your height in meters. Once the chatbot has this information, it will convert them into BMI and tell you if you are overweight.

Last but not the least, you can use the chatbot to get more information regarding health and symptoms. The chatbot can give you details on how to eat and live a healthy lifestyle. For example, if you select balanced diet, the chatbot will tell you what to eat the entire day.

You can also use the chatbot to check for symptoms. At present, you can’t check the symptoms for all types of diseases. You can only select from strep throat, arrhythmias, pregnancy, diabetes, and flu. The chatbot allows you to share this information with your friends and family on Facebook Messenger.

However, the chatbot doesn’t have natural language processing. As a result of this, the chatbot will only understand keywords.

Verdict

Overall, DoctorBot is a really good health and fitness chatbot on Facebook Messenger. You can use the chatbot to keep track of your overall health. The chatbot will remind you when to go for health checkups and when to take your medication. On top of that, if you have any specific details regarding how to take pills, you can enter that information on the chatbot. You can also use the chatbot to check your BMI. At the same time, you can read up on symptoms and healthy lifestyle.
