Just like most Facebook Messenger chatbots, you have to activate Zoom.ai by selecting “Get Started.” The chatbot will introduce itself and ask you to log into your Google, Office365 or Salesforce account. For Zoom.ai to function as a proper virtual assistant, it needs access to your contacts and calendar. If you are not comfortable with this, you can take a look Zoom.ai’s privacy policy for more information.

After the chatbot has your details, it will tell you about your meeting preferences, the timezone you live in, when you like to start and end your workday, and when you like to have coffee meetings. It’s pretty amazing that Zoom.ai can learn all these things about you, just by going through your account. If Zoom.ai’s predictions aren’t accurate, you can always change it by going to the settings page for meetings.

If you want to know about the capabilities of the chatbot, you have to type “help.” The chatbot will help you schedule meetings and sync it to your calendar. For example, you can tell the chatbot that you have a meeting tomorrow with John Doe at 4 p.m to set a reminder. You can also tell the chatbot to postpone or cancel any meetings. For example, you can ask the chatbot to cancel your meeting with John Doe on the 4th of August, 2017.

As the chatbot has access to your calendar, you can ask it to inform you about meetings. The chatbot can also tell you on which days and at what time you will be free. At the moment, the chatbot is only capable of searching for documents. Although there is a command to generate documents, it isn’t functional as of now. According to the developers, the chatbot will be able to generate employment agreement document in some time.

You can use the chatbot to set reminders for things that are not work-related such as buying a carton of milk or a dozen of eggs from the supermarket. The chatbot can tell you the current and future weather forecast for any city. For example, you can ask the chatbot the weather forecast for Singapore. The chatbot will tell you the temperature is 89°F and the sky is cloudy.

The chatbot can also set reminders for all your Uber rides. If you want to use this feature on Zoom.ai, then you have to give the chatbot your phone number. The chatbot also has commands regarding flights. Since the developers have to integrate this feature into the chatbot, it isn’t clear what these commands are capable of doing.

Overall, Zoom.ai is a good automated personal assistant available on various messaging platforms. The chatbot will sync your contacts and calendar to improve its services. The chatbot will remind you every day if you have any meetings. Also, the chatbot can add and delete any meetings and sync it to your calendar. The chatbot is also capable of adding reminders that aren’t work related.

Although the chatbot has a lot of features, not everything is functional at the moment. For example, you can’t use the flight options on Zoom.ai, even though the chatbot tells you the command for it.

Do give Zoom.ai a try on Slack, Telegram, Facebook Messenger, Kik, Skype, email, web, or Cisco Spark as the chatbot is quite useful!
